Whise - Notifications

It is necessary that certain reports are allowed in order for the link with Whise to proceed correctly. For this it is important that certain settings are checked on both the Web browser and the computer/server. The step-by-step plan below will help you check these settings and ensure that the notifications are allowed.

Web browser

Step 1: Open your web browser of choice and press the 3 dots.

Step 2: Then choose settings.

Step 3: Choose Privacy and Security here.

Step 4: Choose Site Settings here

Step 5: Choose Permissions and view data stored on sites

Step 6: Search this list until you see the Whise settings.

Step 7: You click on the 1st web.whise.eu, here you ensure that subsequent pop-ups are allowed.

  • Pop-ups and redirects – ALLOW
  • Intrusive Ads – ALLOW

These settings will ensure that Chrome is able and allowed to display the pop-up notifications on the browser

Stap 8: You click on the 2nd admin.whise.eu , here you also ensure that both are allowed as above.

These settings will ensure that pop-ups are displayed correctly in the web browser.

Computer Settings (Windows)

In addition, we must also ensure that notifications from Google Chrome are allowed on the computer. If the computer blocks it, google chrome will also not be able to display these pop-up notifications. Below are also the steps you can take to check these settings.

Step 1: Click on the windows flag in the taskbar (My operating system is Windows 11, the settings correspond to the settings of Windows 10. For Apple users, I still have to figure out how to allow these notifications.)

Step 2: Choose settings, you can find this by the handy gear icon.

Step 3: At System, choose Notifications/Messages (Notifications)

Step 4: Make sure Notifications are on and Do not disturb is off. Then click Set priority Notifications

Step 5: Click Add Apps

Step 6: Choose Google Chrome from the list. .

Step 7: Choose back via System for Notifications.

Step 8: Check the list to see if Google Chrome's notifications are turned on and click on it.

Step 9: Make sure that the notifications are given the highest priority and that the following settings are checked.

Thus, the settings for the computer are also completed. To be sure that the changes to your Computer and Web Browser will take effect, you can restart your computer completely and log back in to the Whise Portal. 

Computer Settings (MAC)

We also need to ensure on Apple/MAC computers that Google Chrome is allowed to allow notifications/notifications on the computer.

Step 1: Open the settings by clicking on the following icon.

Step 2: At System Preferences / System Preferences, choose – Notifications or Notifications.

Step 3 : In the list, find Google Chrome and make sure that the notifications are allowed and all of the below is checked. Also choose show previews always. This way the notifications are always allowed. At the bottom, you also check the necessary boxes to allow the notifications/popups from whise.
