Dear Customer,

You can use this guide to connect and setup your Yealink WH62 Headset.

Unbox

  • Headset base
  •  Headset 
  • Power adapter  
  • 2 x USB cables

Assemble

On the bottom of the headset base you have the connections. The middle is for power The 2 others are for the USB’s to the computer and phone. (do not connect already)

Settings setup

To change settings of the headset you have to connect the USB cable intended for the computer to the phone. 

Step 1: Enter the menu
Step 2: Go to Headset menu
Step 3: Go to Device Setting
Step 4: In the menu Device settings, you can change: Keypad tone: the sound when u dial a number Local Ringtone: the ringtone the headset makes.
Step 5: Go back to the Advanced menu Mute Reminder: when you microphone is muted you get a notification Mute reminder interval: the time between a mute notification Call Device: Here you set the device you call with (always set to Desk Phone Priority) Call Priority: When you have an incoming call on an other platform what happens then ( always set to Current call ) Auto answer when undocked: When the headset is on the dock you will answer an incoming call when you unhook it. ( best practice would be to deactivate it ) Open line when undocked: Will open the line so you can dial quickly ( default: Disabled, not really important ) Wireless range: This will change how far or how close the wireless headset can be used. (default Long)

Daily use connections

When you have set everything like it should you can connect everything for daily use. On the bottom of the Headset base you have an USB connection with “ PC “ this needs to be connected to you computer. The other USB goes to the phone, when connected a popup will show the connection is set.

Tips and Tricks

Audio from Teams in your headset:

When on a phone call, you can change between the horn, speaker or headset. Just by pressing Speaker button you get the active call on speaker, when you want to change to Headset you press headset button (will turn green).
